Install & get started

Download, install, and start chatting.

Choose your device below. The first launch downloads the AI model once; after that, Localyze works offline.

Android — install the APK
  1. Tap Download latest APK above.
  2. Open the downloaded APK from your notification or Downloads folder.
  3. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then tap Install.
  4. Open Localyze from your app drawer.
Ubuntu — install the .deb
  1. Click Download & install for Ubuntu above.
  2. Open the downloaded .deb file. Ubuntu Software will open.
  3. Click Install and enter your Ubuntu password if asked.
  4. Launch Localyze from the Applications menu. You do not need Terminal or chmod.
Windows — install the .exe
  1. Click Download for Windows (.exe) above.
  2. Open the downloaded installer and follow the prompts.
  3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, verify that you downloaded the file from Localyze.ai before continuing.
  4. Open Localyze from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
How to use Localyze after installation
  1. Open Localyze and wait for the model status to say it is ready.
  2. Start a new chat, type your question, and press Send.
  3. Keep using the same chat for context, or start a new chat for a separate topic.
  4. Once the model is downloaded, you can chat without an internet connection.
What happens on first launch?

Localyze downloads the Gemma 4 E4B model — roughly 4 GB — over the internet one time. Use Wi-Fi and leave the app open until it finishes. Your chats and model stay on your device, and you can use the app offline afterward.
